Chasing the Sash is an Australian docuseries produced by Freestyle TV. This page explains what information we collect through chasingthesash.com and our related tools, and how we use it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Website visits

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how they found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. It does not tell us who you are. We do not use this information for advertising.

You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com.

Interviewee profiles

If you are taking part in the series, we may send you a private link to a profile form. Anything you enter there, such as your name, contact details, story and photos, is stored securely and is used only by the Chasing the Sash production team to prepare for filming and to credit you correctly. We do not sell or share it with anyone outside the production.

Social media reporting

Our internal reporting tool reads statistics from the Chasing the Sash Instagram account, Facebook Page and YouTube channel, plus visit numbers from this website, so we can see how the series is performing. It only reads our own accounts and only collects totals such as views, followers, likes and comment counts on our own posts. It does not post anything, and it does not access the personal accounts of anyone who views or comments.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the series and its reporting, then delete it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email ask@chasingthesash.com and we will reply within 30 days.
